Quite often, it is been observed that most online shoppers feel a bit nervous to make a purchase from online stores. Undoubtedly, though, there are a great number of websites that sell quality products and quote affordable prices for that matter.
In order to help solve the problem and maintain transparency that transactions with online stores are well-secured, Google has strived to develop this unique Google Trusted Stores program that aims to let the shoppers know that they are shopping with a reputable merchant. The Trusted Stores also opens up an idea that online shoppers feel confident and reliable that they are making an informed purchase.

Since last year, Google has analysed the free service with dozens of online retailers such as Wayfair, Beau-coup and Timbuk2. Likewise, to encourage and generate a positive feedback from online shoppers, the search giant offers $1000 to those who opt for the Google Trusted Stores program while making purchasing products from the web.

For a company like Google, which is otherwise regarded for its contribution to the internet and technology, this comes as an unusual move. Dominating the web world with its automated-business approach with tools such as AdWords and phone support, Google went hands-on for a customer-centric service.

For now just open to the U.S merchants, the Google Trusted Stores program helps online shoppers to pick and choose the merchants that they can rely upon. As and when you shop online, the Google Trusted Store badge will appear before you. By moving the cursor upon it, you will be shown a 'report card' that will display 'grades' for that particular merchant. Usually, the merchant may be graded on its customer-service and shipping terms. For shoppers who would like to know more about the merchant they are about to shop with, can make use of the precise metrics offered by the Google Trusted Store badge.
